Citroën Suspension

Citroën suspension systems now consist of hydraulic, pneumatic and conventional spring arrangements. The Hydro-pneumatic or hydractive 3 system is fitted to the early C5, Hydractive 3+ is fitted to the new C5 and C6, although the new C5 is more commonly fitted with coil springs. The C4 picasso has self levelling pneumatic rear suspension. They are computer controlled and give the benefits of improved handling and comfort, consistent ride height and greater safety. They are however more complex and require specialist knowledge and equipment to diagnose and repair
